Our children's safety comes first! For many years we have had a crossing guard(s) at the intersection of South Street and Virginia Ave. This is for the safety of children crossing the intersection to attend Mark Keppel Visual and Performin Arts Magnet Elementary. The entrance to the school is on Virginia Ave, whether by car or walking. This is the ONLY route to take to drive and drop off children to school. All vehicles MUST go North on Virginia Ave in order to arrive at school. We are petitioning to have our crossing guards restored for our children's safety, both for driver's and walkers.
