A hospital survives not on the patients it takes in, but on the calibre of doctor/training it can attract or offer. The fewer services that are available, the fewer quality doctor will want to attend. Ambitious doctors are always looking to improve their skills, so the more departments that disappear from Kidderminster hospital, the harder it will be to recruit attendant doctors, once this cycle begins, it become a self fulfilling prophecy! Stop the rot now.

It is a joke that you have to travel all the way to Worcester where they are so understaffed! especially in emergencies.

An absolute disgrace that this hospital was earmarked to be closed before the first brick was laid in the foundations.
We need this hospital in Kidderminster. Provide staff and encourage morale with decent funding.

I think we need somewhere nearer for real emergency s . Also it is such a waste that it was all done up then not used anymore for purpose ...etc maternity etc etc . Bring Kidderminster hospital back to a fully working hospital please .

Kidderminster hospital should be returned to a fully functional hospital. It's a beautiful, modern hospital and it is truly sad to leave it unused to the extent that it is. Wyre Forest and the surrounding areas are expanding communities and we need this hospital to be restored to the purpose it was built for.

New properties being built, new companies opening which increases population in the area but having to travel over 12 miles to the nearest A&E is outrageous.

Going to Worcester is too far when you have children at home or you need collecting from school and even driving up there when you are frantic with worry and have a sick child in your car is dangerous thing to do

Kidderminster hospital should be back as a fully functioning hospital. All the changes in town to encourage more people and jobs, but no local hospital :( how is that right?? Its not good enough. People would have more faith and hope in kidderminster if the hospital was brought back to a fully working hospital.
