An emergency should be treated as one and not have to drive 20mins to get to a hospital. Strain on the ambulance drivers, paramedics and worry for patients and family.

Kidderminster services a massive surrounding area, you only have to look at how many people use the train station and supermarkets. Worcester hospital is over stretched. When they were downgrading it and Dr Taylor made parliament as an independent, doesn't that show the strength of feeling?

My late father who lived less than a mile from Kidderminster General hospital was left in agony and had to be transported to the old Worcester Ronkswood hospital to die, instead he could have been admitted to Kidderminster far sooner and made more comfortable at the end of his life.

This is a purpose built hospital, serving an ever increasing population,Worcester Royal has never been big enough to cope with everything thrown at it.Kidderminster also serves outlying country areas too,we need a proper a & e,not having one puts strain on local gp services which are busy without extra patients which minor injuries cannot deal with.

This hospital needs reopening with all services so that local people receive care immediately which will reduce the length of stay enabling a more holistic approach and reduce delayed discharge

This hospital was well run with caring nursing and medical staff should never have been downgraded.

Kidderminster has the potential to relieve pressure from Worcester. Nightmare getting to Worcester Royal if you don't have transport or kind friends.

They should reinstate the a+e department as a minor injuries is not good enough as they could not even deal with a case of serious concussion as I had and ended up having to go to Worcester

Personally I'm not bothered about having to get to Worcester, I work there so I'm used to the journey. I drive however and so do not have to rely on public transport, if I did getting to Worcester hospital would be a nightmare! I've never had any problems with the care and treatment received at Worcester though.

Worcester cannot cope with anymore patients. We need Kidderminster hospital as it covers a large area and could be a life or death situation if we have to go any further. My Dad died on the way to Worcester, he could have survived if he went to Kidderminster!!
