Re-Open More Services to Kidderminster Hospital

Care and standards are failing (not due to the nurses themselves) but the manner of organising the operation of the hospital trust itseld

KGH should never have closed.Kidderminster and its neighbouring towns need it.

Had two minor ops in Kidderminster Hospital in 2012, staff are amazing as are the facilities. Need to maximize this hospital.

Why close a hospital to put more pressure on every-one--Emergency services,patients attending appointments and most of all the poor Dr's +nurses that work for so long hours already....If this was your local you would want the help!!!!

Last December my grandfather lost his life to a short battle with cancer and he spent the last few days of his life on the gp unit at Kidderminster hospital. After my mother and grandmother along with all his family we fought for his transfer out of worcester because the treatment of him and us as a soon to be grieving family were disrespected and appaled at not only how the staff treated him but us as well. after contacting PALS we spoke to his consultant and the wonderful Macmillan nurses and agreed for the rest of his life at Kidderminster hospital under the ward of our gp and the Macmillan nurses. We as a whole family could not thank those nurses on that ward enough. They treated our family with respect and had my grandfathers best wishes at heart. For a family to loose any member of it is tough. But thanks to the nurses at the gp unit at Kidderminster the worry of how he was being treated was lifted and we could be there as family not carers to him. Now that we have lost the gp unit as recently as 6 months ago breaks my heart as people in the same situation may not have the same experience we had and may have to not only travel to Worcester to be beside a dying family member but will have the pot luck draw of the staff being caring and compassionate not only towards the patient but towards the family. After the midstaffs hospital scandle the NHS has tried to promote 7 key personality features that any healthcare worker have be a nurse, doctor paramedic. Time and time again Worcester royal fails in this area due to short staff and not enough beds. 1 bed per 10000 people is not enough. Bring the former glory of Kidderminster hospital back!

Should never have been closed in the first place, far too many people put in unnecessary risk having to travel to Worcester Hospital

Travel to Worcester or Redditch hospital is too far

After spending over seven hours in A&E and waiting for an hour for an ambulance to come from Worcester Royal to take me there we certainly need our services back at Kidderminster Hospital.

Worcester is too far to travel for many and is costly as well. Bring services back to Kidderminster

Bring bacK A/E to Kidderminster is the only way to relieve the waiting at Worcester Royal

Travel to Worcester or Redditch hospital is too far for my parents and causes stress

General all round facility's are needed in Kidderminster hospital, instead of having to go to Worcester to have something minor done

New hospital shut down when there are waiting lists is madness . What about the relatives who find travelling to Worcester and Reddit difficult. The sooner it is opened the better.

Worcester Royal hospital was never going to be big enough. Reopening Kidderminster Hospital would help with beds in many surrounding areas. Bewdley stourport etc etc. It would alleviate A&E emergencies and generally help with bed shortages in Worcester Royal thus allowing more efficiency in the reduction of waiting lists.

A full working hospital back would be good. But especially accident and emergency.

It makes sense!!
