Suspension is a slap on the wrist. This is clearly assault, and he should not have the luxury of extracurricular activities. Also, with other students laughing in the video, maybe more needs to be done at your school to teach students about equal rights, freedoms, and compassion, especially since they seem to have the freedom to be maskless in a pandemic.

Andrew, should not be representing the school as an athlete. By his actions, perhaps thoughtless, definitely careless, he used his physical strength to harm another. He should be reprimanded and counseled, off the football field.

Don't reward someone committing hate crimes against his peers. He doesn't deserve the spotlight or the resume boost on his college application. He should spend more time in a classroom instead of fraternizing with the bigoted cheerleader giggling in the video.

Expelling this person for assaulting another student at school is the minimal punishment he should face. At school there is an expectation that students are kept safe from being attacked in the school cafeteria. He should also face criminal charges.

The school needs to be the example of what is inexcusable behavior, no ifs, ands or buts. This perpetrator needs to be punished to teach a lesson to not only him, but to those who attend this school….that this kind of behavior will NOT be tolerated!
