Homophobia and assault should not be tolerated. Absolutely disgusting. You think a suspension is enough for him to learn a lesson? This is your opportunity to educate and keep your students aware of the communities around them. Form then into the adults you want to lead the future. They will reflect not only their families, but the school they came from. Is that really who you want to represent your school? Are all those laughing students learning anything?

Not only should Andrew Hunter be kicked off the football team, he should be arrested for assault.

Kid deserves to be beaten into oblivion. Being kicked off the football team is NOT enough.

What an awful thing to do to someone. A suspension isn’t close to being punishment enough. Just ask yourself what the school would have done if the aggressor was black. I expect the police would have been called and he’d have been led out in cuffs. Do better.

This kids actions were disgusting and dangerous and incredibly entitled. He does not deserve to be rewarded for his actions by being able to continue to do what he loves when he directed hate to someone for showing who they love. His parents needed to do better and they obviously failed him so now he needs to learn he cannot be this ignorant and aggressive and not face repercussions for his actions.

Someone this bigoted and violent deserves no spot or title or chance at representing Lowndes. Only the best and brightest deserve that spotlight on or off the playing field. SHAME ON HIM
