If he were to have done this to a straight kid wearing an American flag, he would’ve been expelled and barred from ever playing in Georgia again. But because it’s a child who is wearing a pride flag he gets to stay on the team and gets a light suspension? Embarrassing for the authorities of this school system and his coaches for not making the call themselves. Your students and children act this way because there are no real repercussions when they commit these hate crimes because these are the same adults that condition them to think the way they do. Any coach or administrator who disagrees with the idea that he should be held accountable and kicked from the team for the year, if not the rest of his high school career, need to be replaced right along with him.

The blatant homophobia is absolutely disgusting. This guy committed an actual hate crime against another student all because he doesn’t agree with the students views and/or sexuality. That is absolutely outrageous and disgusting.

As a parent of a LHS Student I find this disgraceful and needs to be handled. Hate crimes are a Felony.
