The lack of consequences for this kind of violence is repugnant. This is a HATE CRIME. This person should not be allowed to participate in ANY extra curricular activity, including sports, dances, class trips, or any other event. Do better. Set an example. This kind of violent abuse is intolerable.

There are consequences to your actions. Hopefully this is a chance to learn.

What was done was completely out of hatred. Andrew deserves to not only be kicked off the team, but sent to alternative school.

As a credentialed teacher, this is clear bullying to a peer. Both students will need counseling. the student that started this altercation will need to understand that his actions have consequences and the football team is a privilege and is representative of the school.

He will commit another hate crime at your school or beyond if you don’t teach him that what he did was so incredibly wrong.

He needs to be expelled and charged. Hate crimes are not school behavior or normal person behavior

Homophobic behavior is hate. Hatred is all this is. If you keep this boy on your team, you're endorsing hatred and all hate based behavior.

He went over and ripped off a boys shirt and threw it in the trash can? All while that boy was sitting there not bothering anyone. Suspension is not enough, kick him off the team to show your students that assault is not taken lightly.

Terrible conduct for a student, let alone a student athlete representing your school. He should be expelled but this is a good start
