I personally am a person of the lgbtq+ community and although i have not been personally attacked for my identity and freedom of expression, i’ve seen it all over schools and in the real world. that kid was clearly not able to defend themselves against someone who is a big jock and easily pulled them onto the ground. there’s too many people getting special treatment just because they’re in a sport in high school. i bet if that person was a girl and dressed all cute and sweet like one, then it might be taken into consideration.

He should be held accountable for his actions and his behavior should not be met with pacifying and without consequence. What he did was violent and harmful and he has the potential to threaten the safety of other students.

There is nothing you can say to defend the homophobia and disgusting behavior shown in the video from that cafeteria. These are CHILDREN in high school who already have enough to worry about without having to add traumatic experiences like this one to the pile.

Not only should he be permanently expelled from that school, the person that bet him $5 should be expelled as well. This is behavior that is taught by his family and friends. Unfortunately his behavior won't change because his family will support him and it.
