Some of the lunches at Kingman High School are completely unhealthy. A quote from the Kingman High School newspaper (May 17, 2010) says "...The greatest offender at KHS is the small side of curly fries. It ranks highest in calories and fat out of all menu items, containing 640 calories and 32 grams of fat." The small bag of curly fries has more calories and fat than two McDonalds cheeseburgers. Also stated in the newspaper, when Paula Loomis, the Food Service Director for KUSD was asked, she said "We are researching the fat dilemma. I do know when we have ingredients missing in our Nitrikids program it will throw off everything else." Several items at the lunches should be reviewed, only for the sake of the children. Why they are serving such vile foods, who knows.
