Timecall mining company intends on opening a mining site near //Khan-heb mountain, Okombahe. This historical and ancestral landmark is part of the Okombahe village. The mining company sees as a means to an end to make money and further "develop" our community by destroying our mountain. To the corporate giants the making of money is of utmost importance, sacrificing the culture and heritage of our community and its people. We are an indigenous group who find ourselves disheartened and displeased by the action of the company to create a mining site on our land. Regardless of the said "benefits" we do not concern ourselves with urbanization or monetary gains. We care about our land, our history and our home. Okombahe will not be caught in the cross fires of money making under the pretense of development. We will not be a joke. We will not have our land, its people and landmark become devoid of its rich cultural, historical and ancestoral essence. We know our roots!
