Our revered and much loved saint Khalwath Nayagam from Keelakarai is dearer to us than our own families.. One Shamsudeen Qasimi who is the current Chief Imam of the Makkah Masjid in Chennai has been speaking in an irreverent and derogaratory manner about our dear Khalwath muthuvappa as most of us address him. This has caused enormous sadness in our hearts and our sentiments have been deeply hurt. Thousands of people listen to his less-than-scholarly speeches and are influenced by it. As such, we demand an immediate apology to be issued by him publicly . We request the Government of Tamil Nadu to please help us in bringing about a remedy for the wrong he has done and the damage caused by his defamation. He should be removed from the post of Imam of Makkah Masjid

This notorious guy verily misuse the Masjid's pulpit & media to abuse the Great people & Saints who led a Pious life & taught people to be in peace. This heavily hurt our feelings. This so called Imaam shall be penalised for his defamatory speech. And he shall seek repentance & apologize to people.
These are the people who preach extrimism in the society and divide the society by creating racism. The government should take immediate action against thus culprit who preach against the SUFIISM AND SUFI SCHOLARS, who always unite all the religions and create harmony and peace.
He's speaking about irrelevant topic which he's not supposed to speak we are all hurt by his words we want a sincere apology for his wrong doing Maazen Hussain
Spreading the fasadh of a woman's unproven misdeed known to only a few people infront of 1000 people, cannot and should not be referred as an imam in amy masjid, he should be dismissed from his post
we demand samsuddin qasmi to offer his unconditional apology for his derogatory remarks about our beloved shaykh Halwath nayagam who is regarded as well known scholar and a saint during his time and who continues to influence people till this day with his spiritual presence and prayers.
Please honor the true saintly ancestors

Why not the authorities in charge of Makka Masjid remove him from the masjid? Interestingly people from Keelakarai are in the management of this Masjid.
