The petition has been made due to the following problems:

• GTAs are inconsistent in their marking, advice and feedback
• Often one GTA will say to do one thing whilst you’re conducting your experiment and next week a different GTA will mark you down for doing what the previous GTA advised you to do
• No written feedback for labs or if so inconclusive and not helpful
• Feedback on report unhelpful/lacking
• Feedback on report for structure contradicts the report template
• GTA’s making insulting comments about groups/students
