If this young man is convicted, then her parents should be charged with Human Trafficking of a Minor since they were aware of, consented to, encouraged and enabled the relationship for a year!

This is a heart breaking story! A lot of young people make the wrong decision, he should not have to pay the rest of his life for it! What he did was a mistake for sure! But from what I hear it was a mutual mistake! I think he learned his lesson and I am sure he is scared out of his mind! I hope the courts see this! Best of luck!

I just don’t believe that this is happening. If it was ok two years ago,when they were going together for a year, so what’s the difference now? They should leave it in the past. The parents agreed to the “stay-overs”, so what did they think was going on. Come on, get serious. If he is being charged for this then the system should check and charge a lot more for the same thing around here. Thinking about you and Kevin. Keep your chin up Kevin.

I lived next to Kevin for a while as neighbors and in the great town of bonavista, everyone knows a child predator when you see one. I know that a 15 year old cannot consent to the relationship, and that Kevin made a mistake for going with her. But he’s not a pedofile. The girl did not resist the relationship and the parents allowed it to progress. In one sense of the matter, if the parents let a so called predator and pedo into their home and harmed their child, shouldn’t they also be charged? Kevin is not a pedo. He wouldn’t intentionally hurt anyone and I’m sure he doesn’t have an past history of pedophillia in the past. You have to look at the situation he was in. He didn’t lure the girl in, her family consented. If he was a pedo then why didn’t they protect the girl. So that just backs up Kevin even more because they know Kevin is a great young guy and they just feel resentment and revengeful for what happened during their breakup. Lots of luck for you Kevin! ❤️
