Final supporters
There are precious few people in this world who loved as well as Kerry Nelson Heiniemi. The community of Goodland meant so much to her, and she poured her heart and soul into making it the best community around. Her main focus in life was on relationships and connection, and she led the charge in creating many community events, and reigniting the Goodland baseball program. She wanted the children and parents to be able to form precious memories like she’d had there as a child. One small, but meaningful way we can show our love and appreciation to Kerry for who she was and all she did for each of us in this community, is to rename the Goodland Ball Field in her honor. Please join in signing this petition to name the field “Kerry Field”, or “Kerry’s Field of Dreams”, so her legacy may live on for generations to come. The petition will be presented to the Goodland Township board members on September 8, 2020.

I am honestly overwhelmed by how many of you have stepped up to honor Kerry and her memory. If you could find just a few friends to pass this along to today, it would go a long way in getting us to the next milestone for the board to see.

This would be a great thing in her memory! I know she has done a lot for the community once moving back up North- the ball field is just one of the many things! She truly loved the Goodland community and had a VERY compassionate soul!
I always teased her and called her the mayor of goodland. She truly did put her heart into making memories for the town she was so proud of
My grandsons loved this field & I loved watching them play here! Kerry was so instrumental in getting the concession booth organized!!!! Her name needs to be connected to this ball field!!!
She was more involved with that field. The goodland hawks and overall community than anyone ive known in the six years ive been here. In many ways shes the heart and soul of goodland amd the baseball team. I think She would be honored to have the feild named after her.
I met Kerry one time a few months ago at the field! She was so nice as I introduced my little ones (too young to play yet) to the field and a few other families that were there. You could tell her heart was truly with that program!
Kerry will be missed by many of us❤️ She was a beautiful soul.

I played ball there in the 90’s and know how hard Kerry worked to help restore this ballfield. Driving through Goodland will never be the same.
