On the 14th June 2013, Kerrang Radio in Birmingham, UK stopped being broadcast on 105.2 FM after 9 years. This frequency was taken up by Planet Rock radio - a station owned by the same company - Bauer Consumer Media Ltd. Kerrang Radio plays a broad spectrum of music loosely based around the rock genre. Planet Rock plays classic rock only which is a niche genre. Kerrang Radio has 226,000 'likes' on Facebook - Planet Rock has 104,000. According to the latest RAJAR report (March 2013), Kerrang had a reach of 1,224k, Planet Rock has 896k. Since the changeover, Kerrang Radio has been slimmed down to a shadow of its former self - with programs being pre-recorded and jukebox style shows to fill in the gaps. We the listeners want Kerrang Radio reinstated on 105.2 FM and returned to a live format.
