The takeover is off. The board backed down because we refused to accept their plans. We won.

The Governors of KEQMS have announced that our school is to be taken over by the United Church Schools Trust (UCST) and merged with Arnold school. A number of parents believe that this takeover will have an adverse impact on our childrens education and damage the long term future of our school. We need to send a clear message to the Governors of KEQMS that we, the parents, want :

All talks with UCST and Arnold to be stopped until a full and open discussion is held on the future of KEQMS

No further contract negotiations or contract signings with UCST or Arnold

The Governors of KEQMS to represent and act on the wishes of the parents

The Governors to stop the secrecy

We believe that the fee paying parents have a major stake in the school and that the Governors should consider our views and act accordingly. We intend to present our signed petition to the Chairman of the Governors at the last parent consulation meeting on Tuesday 13th September.

If you want to stop this takeover please sign our petition.

Why is this being pushed through so fast?? KEQMS has its own history and identity. Leave it alone.

Totally ridiculous idea to merge. Keep our school independent.

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The governors need to listen to parents instead of hiding behind closed doors.

Stop the secrecy. We deserve to know what is happening to our kids school. This is just wrong.
