I am thoroughly pissed off at this increment as it is not justified. I don't see why the issue of foreign exchange is coming in given that they are hardly laying any new infrastructure that would need external raw materials. Also it is hardly six months since they increased the charges. I am actually considering disengaging.

This is completely ridiculous and unfair. DSTV has continued to rip us off for years. They need to realize that this is a luxury. We will continue to live without their product. I have been a loyal premium customer for years until the rates hit 8,200. Nobody in their right mind spends almost 100k to watch tv in their homes. I say pack up and get out. To HELL with you!! These arbitrary hikes in subsfriction fees are unfair. They did the same in Nigeria. DSTV does not appreciate its customers outside South Africa. Also remember that alot of prizes and trips they ofree are for SA only. Its disgusting.

DSTV subscription rates are quoted in USD and translated to KSHS on a monthly basis at the prevailing exchange rate. How then does depreciation justify increase in subscriptions?
When USD 1 was KShs 90, they were getting Kshs 900 for the lowest rate. Now customers are paying Kshs 1,060 for the same.

The cost of Dstv in Kenya is exhorbitant. I see no reason why Kenyans should be almost 50%more than their South African and Nigerian counterparts
