Turning, stopping, and parking has contributed to the deteriation of the road, shoulder, and sidewalk in front of the Wedding Cake House and the Emerson Inn, which are a major tourist attraction between Kennebunk and Kennebunkport.

Summer Street is very dangerous for cyclists. Improvement is needed before a tragedy occurs.

Summer Street is the gateway from US 1 in Downtown Kennebunk to The Landing, Lower Village, the Kennebunk Beaches and into Kennebunkport. And from all this traffic through the years, our street surface, sidewalks and easements are in dire need of repair.
Bike lanes are imperative. Without them it is so dangerous for the bicyclists, walkers and drivers - the roads are cracked and crumbling, the easements uneven and haphazard and the sidewalks are trip hazards above with overgrown foliage and below from heaving.
The Kennebunks are first-class, beautiful towns and Summer Street, the gateway between, should reflect that same first-class beauty in aesthetics as well as safety for its residents and the many tourists that travel here to see what we enjoy and love daily.

Route 35 Summer Street is in dire need of repairs. The road is crumbling and has become dangerous for cars as well as for cyclists. The sidewalk from Sea Road to Heath Road needs to be replaced. It is in disrepair in many sections which is not only unattractive but also unsafe!

Summer Street is not any street- it is the premier gateway to visitors. Today it is uneven at best in terms of image. The residents are trying to change that and to do their part. Meanwhile we badly need traffic calming to control truck traffic that has affected safety & quality of life for residents.

Take a walk from Bibber's to Landing Store and nothing more will need to be said to convince you that work is desperately needed..

Cycling on Summer St. is really dangerous. Bike lanes need to be designated.

Extremely dangerous roadway when biking. Sidewalks have not been touched in 25 years, so biking on them is a no go!

When I ride my bike down summer St. (Rt. 35), with no designated bike lane, I am sharing the same space with the cars. It is dangerous for both the bike riders and drivers. This road is heavily used by bikers and it is a real safety concern. I hope this roadway and sidewalk are upgraded to make this major roadway meet the present standards.

Good idea. Let's have a "complete street".

As a Kennebunk resident, I drive, bike, and walk Summer St on a daily basis. The Landing area is a gateway to our beaches, and other attractions, and needs to be made safe and welcoming to all. I hope you'll join me in this effort.
