Our madrasah kids was held hostage twice in the scouts hall the latest happened on Thursday 12th July 2019 children on their way to class had to lay flat and run for cover that ally next to the hall really needs to be closed off because the gangs use it as a means to access Sunderland St. And also escape the police we in the community to groom and empower the youth to make positeve choices and become positive leaders but the state and circumstances makes it difficult for us as leaders educators and even worst for learners. To become leaders they are filled with fear and that is no way to live.

It is quite ironic that from August 2015 to August 2016 we had relative peace in the area compared to other Cape flats communities The CPF took the credit for that change ,now why is the situation worse again ? We still have the same CPF ,so I wonder whether they can claim credit .........I dont think so .......almost everything is the same except .....we have a new ward councillor, Perhaps we need to ask the previous ward councillor to lend a hand and get all the role players involved as was done previously There was also lots of police operations and gangsters on parole. /out on bail had bailconditions that forbid them from the area ,lets get the department of correctional srrvices involved again. Currently whenever a gangster gets out of jail there is shooting All of us who live here know what its like to be caught in the cross fire

The Police needs to do something with regards to the constant shooting in our area. I fear travelling to work, I fear for my daughter's safety at school.

Barely survived an assault on xmas night 2016. I appeal to higher authorities to help to prevent this from happening to someone else through these shootings.

I live in Kensington but use to live in factreton. The things is in our community is not good the gangsterism in our area and the abuse happening in families its not good and almost every night gunshots you hear. Our children is living in fear because of the way our area has become.
