Expect Transparency! Demand Equity - Kendallvue Elementary Principal Hiring Committee

Christine is a great asset to Kendallvue and the community. We recently moved to Morrison in 2017 and enrolled our son at Kendallvue. Christine has left an impression that will stay with me, forever. She is a leader, committed to her students and staff, passionate, involved, follows through with her actions and makes her presence known in a very positive way. It would be a shame to lose her as a principal and a dedicated person of our community! It is encouraging to have someone thrive for our kids, staff and the well being of the community!! Please rethink this decision.

My opinion matters

Concerned grandparent.

It was very shocking to hear about Ms. Austin being removed as Principal. This is very upsetting to parents and especially students who did not get to say goodbye. She did amazing things for Kendallvue and is a large reason we chose Kendallvue for our family. The way this has been handled is very disappointing. The Kendallvue community should have a voice in the future of our children.

How dare you hide your actions. Ms Austin was treated unfairly.

Teacher and parent input should be greatly valued as they are in the school and classroom.

Ms. Austin is one of the reasons Kendallvue is so special. She has meant so much. Too many families and students. Firing her without giving the community a reason is not only wrong but harmful to so many families.

As a parent of a student who is slated to attend Kendallvue next year, I am concerned about the lack of communication about the process of replacing Ms. Austin. I chose to enroll my child at Kendallvue because of the positive and unique environment and leadership here. As parents, we deserve to be represented in this decision making process so that the school can continue to serve the community in the same way.

My grandchildren attend Kendallvue and we have an investment in them with regard to their well being and best interest not to mention this wonderful school.

As a former student of this school, who liked ms Austin. She was a great pricple, students look up to her. She made the school stick how it should. Bring her back.

An elementary school is not a place for politics.

As a parent and tax payer of Jeffco I expect the representatives that are responsible for managing our children’s education and well being should be transparent within our community and not based on their own personal agendas. As a community these administrators work for us and we should have a voice in any manner related to our children and their education. It’s sad to know that politics are getting in the way of the future of our community and our public education systems.

All voices must be heard!

Active parents are a must have in any school. The surrounding Community is an even more important part of it

I have placed 2 students at Kendalvue over the last 17 years. My husband and his siblings have attended Kendallvue in the 80s and 90s when they were of age. It is outrageous that the community is not being heard and is having opportunities removed from us. Ms. Austin and all of the Kendallvue staff have offered tremendous support to our son who has an IEP and is in the SED class. The genuine care Ms. Austin provided during my son's first 2 years there, made him and us his parents grow to trust the school more and more. Ms. AUSTIN SHOULD BE RETURNED TO KENDALLVUE, PROMPTLY.

To our Kendallvue Family, we urge you to consider signing this petition for equity in the process in hiring a new principal. It is come to our attention that first-year Community Superintendent, Sam Hollman, plans to stack the deck so that the District voice is heard over ours and so that she will be able to place whomever SHE wants to lead OUR school. If you agree that student well-being should come before power, if you agree that our students deserve a leader who cares more about them than their own agenda, if you agree that a beloved, close knit, neighborhood elementary school is not a place for top heavy politics please sign and make your voice heard. We send our children to school each day hoping for safety and protection and care, by signing this petition you help ensuring that. Please be their voice, please advocate for your child, please fight hard to make their world better. Our teachers deserve our support during this time. We can do this Kendallvue community, make your voice heard!
