KEEP WOOD A TWO WAY STREET

This is a bad idea

I do think considering the impact of bike lanes on Walcott needs to be considered such as impact to LaSalle II.

This is unnecessary and will create worse traffic (it is already bad enough).

Keep Wood a two way street!!!

There is no reason that tax dollars should go to changing wood street into a 1 way street. Maybe put those dollars towards all the crime in our neighborhood instead.

I am a resident who relies on Wood Street for North and South travel. I oppose the alteration of Wood to a one way street.

We need this to remain a 2 way street, it’s safe and wide enough to accommodate bikes and 2way traffic

Notwithstanding the fact that a measly 67 votes initiated this one-way street change, the idea is just plain silly. This is the ONLY north-south interior street between Damen and Ashland. There'll be more vehicular traffic pushed into driving large loops given all the other one-way streets. And given the existing stop signs at every junction and numerous speed bumps, it just adds to more traffic congestion. If you want to help the cyclists, repave the roads so they don't have to veer out of bike lanes and onto traffic.

I do not think that wood street should be reduced to one way. there are plenty of one way streets that can handle bicycle traffic through the Ukrainian village. It would not improve our lives.

This is a crucial two-way street I use all the time! It is the only street with a traffic light connecting Ellen to Division.

I will not vote for Alderman Daniel La Spata again if Wood is changed to one way!

By removing this 2 way street will increase traffic on main streets.

There is no reason to choke traffic down in the area any further and too many one way streets. Keep Wood a two-way street, and add bike lanes on an existing one way street.

Making Wood a one-way street should NOT happen. It will inconvenience all people who live on the E-W streets and must exit the alleys to leave. With all the delivery trucks and sanitation etc. utilizing an blocking the alleys, you would always be made to go out and around the blocks to go in the direction you need. ALSO: all streets between Damen and Ashland would then be one-way streets N or S. Wood is the only street left as a two-way street. Keep the bike lanes - FIX/REPAVE the street and the bikers would have a better route to ride on and not have to veer around holes etc. Add another bike lane to Wolcott or Paulina which is wider.

Alderman is tone deaf. Not representing his community. If people who possible benifit the most which are residents of Wood St are all saying keep it two way just shows how dumb our Alderman is.
