We have been taking 896 to the shore since I was a kid. I saw the petition sign on the side of someone's barn. What's important to your neighborhood is important to me. We love taking this way down for the easy going pace.

I came through that intersection today and found that the 4 way stop signs are needed to be kept there. Den Road is heavily used and without the stop signs, accidents or even death(s) will happen.

I trailer my horse to Fairhill, and this area used to be treacherous!

Getting rid of stop signs? How clueless could an organization be?

keep the stop signs, or get roundabouts! we don't need to use any more energy for lights!

Absent stop sign = one car totaled by drunk driver.

Keep the signs. There is no need to spend money or the time on putting lights in when the signs have worked perfectly fine for everyone.

Traffic signal level of service (LOS) is based on average delay per vehicle. More time would be wasted sitting at a red light than the stop signs. Green lights would also encourage drivers to speed through before the light turns yellow.

Please leave this as a stop sign. With a traffic light , people will be trying to beat the red light, an the accidents will increase again.

My mother and grandmother were in an accident at 841/896 not long before the stop signs were added. I think the four way stop was a quick and inexpensive fix. I can't imagine anyone living near that intersection would like a traffic light shining in their windows.

The topography of this small streach of highway makes a double stop a necessityity if you want to save lives. Even if you are an infrewuent user of the road in this area it only takes one bad 10 second expanse of time to kill you. In fact, it's the infrequent users who are probably the most vulnerable to the inherrent dangers here..
