Roma Support Group has been running the Roma Education Project since June 2009. The post has been funded by the London Councils in order to address inequalities in the education system for the Roma community. The Roma community has the lowest educational attainment and the highest level of permanent exclusions of all ethnic groups in the UK. Due to the new government’s decisions to reduce funding, we have been informed that the funding for this project may not continue further than March 2011 even though we were granted funding until November 2012.
