Conrad Black called his status as a Canadian "an impediment to his progress in another more amenable jurisdiction." Now that Black\'s current status is a foreigner facing criminal charges in the United States, he wants his Canadian citizenship back. We don\'t want him. I, the undersigned, believe that Conrad Black, having renounced his Canadian citizenship, having been counseled on the repercussions of this act, having done so to further his self-aggrandizement with entry into the British House of Lords, should have to serve his sentence in the country in which he has been tried and convicted. My tax Canadian tax dollars should not be funding Conrad Black\'s incarceration. We call upon the Government of Canada to deny Conrad Black citizenship and to disallow any serving of his sentence in Canada.
