I hiked up to the North Palisade overlook yesterday and it reminded me why this place is worth fighting for. The history of this land is tied to my family and I refuse to let it be erased by a bureaucratic name change.

Seeing this kind of movement to protect North Palisade brings me to tears because this mountain is my home. I never thought so many people would join me in fighting to keep our land from being stripped of its identity.

so annoyed by this. why fix what isnt broken???
North Palisade is the only name that makes sense for the location. renameing it is insulting to the people who actually use the trails.
dont change it. there is no reason to rename it just because someone in dc thinks it sounds better. waste of tax money
Ridiculous waste of time. Focus on the actual problems instead of changing names of parks that nobody asked to rename.

Keep the name. My family has lived here for 40 years and everyone knows it as North Palisade. Stop messing with our history.
