Manjeet has been targeted by the group of men who her husband was escaping from and has been beaten on several occasions and received threats that they will rape and kill her. Manjeet is especially vulnerable because she is 90% paralysed and uses a wheelchair. She fled to the UK where she has many family members who can provide her with the support she needs.
Despite these convincing facts, the UKBA have refused Manjeet's claim for asylum and have told her she must return to India. Manjeet's husband is still missing and the group threatening her will be waiting for her to return to Delhi. Read Manjeet's full story here.

I just saw we hit a hundred signatures and I honestly keep refreshing the page because my brain has a hard time processing that people are actually stopping to help Manjeet. It feels like the tide is finally turning and those first few people who clicked sign are the real heroes here because I was worried nobody would listen to her story at all.

I have had the privilege of meeting Manjeet - and I hope many more people do too. She is an asset to our society. Let her stay.
I sign this petition both in a personal capacity and on behalf of our union branch (UNITE MW/55 Fujitsu North West) under their instructions, Wishing Majeet all success in her search for safety and justice.
I have met this lady and she is a credit to disabled people being disabled myself this is predujice enough but to go through what she has please give her a chance of having a life and all the support she deserves do not send her back to India please look at the facts again
Manjeet is brave and courageous. She would not have any safety nor quality of life as a seriously disabled person in India. She deserves all possible support and leave to remain.
The present government has shown how little respect it has for human rights and the right of protest and democratic process, however putting someone at extreme danger of torture and death is not an option. UKBA are in effect sending Manjeet to certain death and this cannot be allowed or tolerated.
Manjeet is a great ambassador for human rights for asylum applicants and must be allowed to stay

Manjeet should be offered sanctuary in the UK based on her political persecution alone; the fact that she is a wheelchair user who relies on family support and appropriate infrastructure - neither of which she has in India - make it even more crucial that she be allowed to stay in the place that she has made her home. Eviction and deportation would be absolutely inhumane.
