Totally agree with the petition statements. Do the targeted stores to sell the liquor not have plenty of other items to sell?

There would be no reason for major retailers to NOT buy their inventory out of state which chances are they would do. These big retailers have enough revenue streams let's not increase it at the expense of small local businesses, and those economies in which they support.

I own a small liquor store in Randolph, Ks . and could HB 2200 really impacting my business. I employ two part time employees, who are local residents. Another considerations is that if a great numbrt of liquor stores close, the drivers who deliver to those stores will aso be out of work. A second consideration is that once the big box stores are selling liquor, what is to keep Wal-mart and others from bypassing the liquor wholesalers in Ks. and getting supplies directly from their own out of state connections and eliminating more Ks. jobs. As far as my being able to sell other products, tell me where I would put these other products in a 500 sq. ft. store. Unlike Dillons I do not have 30,000 sq. ft available to expand my inventory of other products.

Why would we take away the livelihood of the small business man as well as the thousands of part/full time employees that are employed in the retail liquor store industry. If it isn't broken DON'T try to fix it.

People need to understand, that business was only created to help bring people together and ensure no one gets somthing for nothing. But when you have a major company like Dillion's whose going to get that money 1-50 people compared to the 1000 that would effect those people in an injustice way!
