Kansas Legislators are considering legislation that will radically alter the retail liquor industry by closing hundreds of Kansan-owned businesses, putting thousands out of work and damaging the economy. It will also increase access to minors. I support my locally-owned Kansas retail store owner, who is also my neighbor, and ask all legislators to oppose any changes to the current system.

There would be no reason for major retailers to NOT buy their inventory out of state which chances are they would do. These big retailers have enough revenue streams let's not increase it at the expense of small local businesses, and those economies in which they support.

Keep full strength liquor in the liquor stores. I have been to New Mexico where they sell liquor in their grocery stores, I didn't see anyone around to keep the kids out of the liquor side of the store. VOTE NO to HB2200

Changing Kansas law to allow grocers to sell liquor will make enforcement and availability of liquor to minors a greater challenge. Kansas lacks the law enforcement and treatment support to deal with the issues related to alcohol. Please don't make it worse. Vote NO on HB2200.

Please keep liquor out of grocery stores, it is bad for the economy. I live in Haven Township out side of Haven KS and we have a great balance of local grocery store, a Dillion convenience store and a locally owned liquor store.

The big chain stores are all in favor of putting liquor in their stores. The money from these chains will go out of the state of Kansas. This bill will also close family owed liquor stores, and will also lose jobs in Kansas. Vote no on the liquor bill
