Seeing this kind of energy for the classrooms that shaped my own education keeps me going. It is clear that I am not the only one who refuses to let these programs vanish.

my brother needs those honors classes for his gpa, dont mess this up for them pls
This new AP reassigning isn't fair to those who don't wish to take it. Even if they CAN, it may not be for they. they wouldn't want to go the pace of an AP class, honors fits them more. It truly isn't fair.
Keep Honors!
I am a student of Edgewater High School. And as a student of Edgewater High School one of the biggest things that I like Edgewater for is the choices you have in education, especially through the EST and AP programs. That being said, both are serious commitments and that should be taken into consideration when deciding whether to enroll in them. AP classes, which are designed to be comparable to college level courses, require the student to be prepared for an increased workload and set aside extra time per week to study course material. If a student does not feel inclined to enroll in AP courses they still have the option of honor courses, which are more challenging than standard and reward a student for putting in extra effort. Except if this decision to force kids into either AP or standard classes stays, kids will be pushed into having a seriously increased amount of work, or a class that is not on the same level as they could be working. This decision will not push kids to succeed in AP courses, but will push them to fall back to standard courses because they cannot include AP classes with sport, band, clubs, work, or any other after school activity they might be involved in that makes them unable to commit to the recommended 5 hours of studying a week PER AP class. While AP classes are an excellent opportunity they are a massive undertaking even for the most exceptional students and forcing kids into them will hurt them more than it could help.
In the world we live in, many recognize "schools" as a building, a place to learn, and where education is provided to help students get to the occupational level in an adult society. Students come to schools for learning various concepts that would make the world seem as a reasonable place. With that students take classes that are suitable for their development in knowledge. Classes are divided amongst standard levels of regular, honors, and AP. Each level provides rigorous action that accommodates a student learning pace. Taken in that to account, the current decision in progress to remove the honors system as an intermediate between AP and regular standard class is outrageous. This causes a rift in the level of education provided to students. For one it shows that those students who can't make it to college level classes like AP are only bound to what a regular standard class is. This is what leads many implications in which the students in bottom regulars are starting to feel the pressure that they are lower class, they become the class who can't further their education of what is limited to them unless they experience the rapid pace of AP, and they are to stress on the fact that they can't compete to become the top of their class with just their weighted GPA being limited to their courses. All of these implications were resolved through the class level of honors where students could take on a mediocre course that would eventually get a steady pace for them to experience progress into gradually letting join AP class level pacing. Their knowledge would advanced much farther than what would be limited and their GPAs would be able to compete with those who have AP. Having an honors class systems gives the need to mediate the level of a student who wants to learn, but by restricting their education to just two choices a slow pace and a rapid pace. The students may lose interest or barely even learn anything just as they aren't ready or adjusted. This ends up to cause

I heard about this nonsense and there's a possibility I will be attending my senior year here at edgewater, and i swear if ya'll aint got honors by the time i get here imma take myself back to stank howell
