Pastor Hollins needs to stay at Ousley United Methodist Church because he has brought Stability to the Church and the Community. He is Beloved by the present Congregation and after being at our church for 10 years he has Developed our church as a pillar of strength in the Community. It is with respect that I ask Bishop Sue Haupert-Johnson to reconsider the decision to move Pastor Hollins.

While I understand the nature of an itinerant ministry, this last minute move lacks a sense of due process and fairness. Ousley has a detailed business plan that has been vetted and approved. Pastor Mac should remain at Ousley so that the goals of the plan can be met. If Pastor Mac is moved, the plan will be in jeopardy and Ousley will suffer financially which will greatly impact the work that Ousley is doing in the community and the District. Signed by a former Disrict Trustee, former Ousley SPRC and Trustee Chair, former General Counsel and an attorney.

The Ousley church family has gone through some tough times over the last decade, but we have weathered the storm and stayed the course. We acknowledge that our membership numbers may not be impressive, but we believe that the depths of our commitment to being the church that God has called us to be are unparalleled. We also believe that it was because of Pastor Hollins' guidance, and his example of humility and transparency that we have reached this state of spiritual growth. Therefore, I join in our petition to Bishop Haupert-Johnson to allow Pastor Hollins to remain at Ousley to lead us in fulfilling the mission of making disciples for Christ in this community.

I have been a member for almost 7 years and I have witnessed first hand the growth, the love, the support, the faith, and the compassion, that Pastor Mac has shown each of us during some very hard and difficult times in my church family life, here at Ousley. I know that at this time, it would be a huge mistake to reassign Pastor Mac. I'm looking forward to many years of Pastor Mac's teaching, preaching and anointed Praise and worship here At Ousley United Methodist Church.
