To many companies are taking advantage of the Missouri "AT WILLl" law. What's this mean? They can fire you for NO REASON. In todays economy, jobs are hard to come by. Employers are using this law to their advantage to insure that their family and friends are employed,or simply because they do not like you as a person, rather it be the sound of your voice, the way you walk etc... unjust reasons to fire a person, while the employees they just fired, are unable to find work and take care of their families. I believe this law needs to change IMMEDIATELY. Employers should not be able to fire an employee without just cause, such as, attendence, insoborination, drugs, etc...If an employer was to fire an employee without just cause and proof of that cause, the employer should have to pay a fine of $10,000.00.
