It has come to the attention of many parishners at St. Francis Xavier that a petition is circulating against Father Neil Buchlein. It saddens me that people feel the need to take such action against him without trying to resolve any problems with him directly. As a parishner of St. Frances Xavier myself, I cannot sit by and allow it to happen. It's disheartening to know that some are willing to try to remove him as our Priest over some kind of misunderstanding. Myself along with many others feel this is wrong and we wish to petition the Diocese to recognize our support for Father Neil Buchlein and our desire to keep him as the Spiritual beacon of our Parish. It has been mentioned before that he isn't here to make friends, but is here to save our souls! He has a straightforward approach which is refreshing because when mass has ended, one truly feels as though his message was meant just for you. His non judgemental style, love of God and welcoming nature is exactly what St. X needs to grow and prosper. He is a treasure and we do not want to loose him!
