Marching band is an important part in maturing as a playing and is necessary. Competitions allow for a strive to be better, resulting in practice.

Marching played a huge role in my life and taught me I can do things I didn't even know I was capable of. Sometimes, marching band is even all someone has as motivation, passion, and in some cases, family. Keeping this is important. Taking it away.. I couldn't even imagine what I'd do.

Save the Band. Our band performed at their hosted competition for years and this band would be missed throughout the state, for sure!

Cudahy has tried in the past to shut this academic opportunity down. Parent look at a school and want variety for their children to thrive and grow. By taking this unique special away the district is telling parents to look somewhere else to educate their child. In this time of high stakes testing is it the best idea to cut a program that attracts motivated hard working students who enjoy problem solving and collaborative community work? Think about that for a minute people...

We are one of the oldest programs in the state. More than music is learned on the field~ life skills, discipline, and friendships all start there. Small is not bad, just more challenging. WITH PRIDE!

This is a fine program with an excellent history. I was part of the drum line to win best in state in 1995, the first time a drum line from CHS has ever achieved this feat. To see this program get cut is to see many kids not have the opportunity to compete in a highly respectable "tournament." Kids who play football have an outlet. Kids who play basketball have an outlet. Kids who do theatre have an outlet. Kids who play soccer have an outlet. I was involved in many of these activities. They gave me a sense of being, of CHS pride, and of belonging. Why not first look at those activities that are perhaps over-funded before getting rid of those activities that are underfunded. Does the football team really need new uniforms every year? No. Start cutting where excessiveness lives. Save this program as for many kids in the marching band, this is their own competitive outlet. Thank you for your time and attention.

My Sons were part of marching band and that was their highlight of the marching program was the competition. The marching band does not cost the district more than paying the teacher the parents support the marching program by working in the shack and hosting the invite. I would like to know the reason why they want to stop competing?

Some of the most important aspects of learning, do not come from a text book. Keep the competitive marching band alive!!!

I majored in music because of my experience participating in CHS band. I am one of dozens of others from Cudahy who went on in music. Do not deny this experience for these students.
