Let them keep their name. He was and always will be their dad. Let them keep that part of him.

The boys should carry on the fathers last name. Would be a shame to change it.

These boys deserve to have their dad's last name. What is wrong with this woman?

Let the boys carry the name of their dad. He is gone and can not fight to keep it for them.

This makes me soooo sad! Its absolutely ridiculous that these boys should even be put in this position after what they've already been going through! How is this fair to them?! I completely agree that they should have a choice and decide when they are older. Keep them as the Mews boys!!

These little boys have known their last name to be Mews. There is no reason they should have to change it and get confused about why because, I feel, in the future they will hear stories and see pictures of their dad and wonder why they weren't able to carry on the name!

I think this is very wrong. Brad was there when they were born to sign their birth certificate with Mews as their last name. Don't take that honor from Brad and the boys. I am certain that once the boys are grown up and learn of this deceit they will resent their mother and may have no relationship with her. Does she really want to chance that? I wouldn't. Just because the parents relationship ended in disaster that the boys should still have to continue suffering esp now that Brad has passed on. Just because people make mistakes or do things that isn't to your liking doesn't justify taking an honor and love for their father and his love for them away. Please consider the boys feelings esp when they are old enough to understand and a good chance that they will turn their backs on their last surviving parent.

I see no reason in confusing these young children by changing their last name. They were not allowed to say goodbye to their father whom they loved so much and now they ar having his name taken from them as well. This is not healthy for children of this age to go through...let them make the decision when they are old enough.

I hope Lorin and Landon keep their fathers last name! I don't understand why it needs to be changed. They loved their father and he loved them! This makes me SO sad!

I agree the boys should keep their fathers last name no matter what. Why confuse them.

Please let them keep brads last name. He is their father, and they,as his son's, deserve to keep his name, the boys have had their father taken away from them, why take their namesake.

Why would anyone want to do this to these two little boys. They have lost enough already!

The boys lost their dad. Leave them with his name to honor him. They are not old enough to decide and Brad isn't here to fight for them.

Brad's love, kindred spirit, kind soul and utmost unconditional love for these two boys deserves to live on. For a mother to think this is a "good idea" is beyond me. Please, from the bottom of all of our hearts that care and love, Brad, please reconsider this Mother's pathetic request.

I agree, the boys need to keep Brad's last name, those boys were Brad's pride and joy.

Brad and Michelle mutually agreed to name the boys at the time of their birth. Brad's sudden death should not change that. The boys know there last name as Mews. If the boys want their name changed they can do it when they are 18. They lost their father don't take his name as well. The mother is only thinking of herself. Rick and Karen - Brad's parents love the boys a great deal. The boys have a bond with them because that is what Brad wanted. They should be allowed to see the boys and continue that contact as well as keep their father's name.
