Chelsea Park residents of Brevard County, FL: The Brevard Public School board will be considering several alternate school attendance rezoning proposals at their public meeting on January 19th, 2010. Several of the proposed options will not only divide our neighborhood by sending our children to two different schools, but also several of the proposals have us all leaving Manatee for either Saturn Elem., Tropical Elem., or Anderson Elem. This decision affects every home owner! Should our children be moved from Manatee, there is a serious risk of the property values of all of our homes severely declining. There is also the risk of families choosing to leave Chelsea Park in an effort to move to "safe" areas where their children will be better guaranteed to stay at high quality schools such as Manatee -- a safety we should be afforded here in Chelsea Park!
