As most of you know, the Thames Valley District School Board has made a change in the board policies, and they will not allow any cheer teams within the school board to compete in any competitions where a waiver form must be signed to enter the competition because the board does not agree with some of the things in Cheer Alliance's waiver.
This means our teams will be unable to compete in any Cheer Alliance competitions, who host the regional and national cheerleading events.
HOWEVER, if Cheer Alliance changes some of the wording in their waiver and comes to an agreement with the TVDSB on this, we still have a fighting chance to once again compete at nationals.
So please, sign this petition and convince Cheer Alliance to work with us and to let us cheer once again! We have a very strong student body backing us up, so friends, family, and fellow teammates, please sign this petition to get the cheerleading spirit back into our lives!

Ridiculous. Let them compete.
I was on the team last year and it was literally the best part of school. why are they ruining this for everyone??
Stop the red tape and let the athletes perform. Really frustrating to watch this happen.
get it together tvdsb. sort this out so the kids can actually do what they trained for all season.
This is honestly so unfair. These girls work so hard all year just to be told they cant compete because of a waiver? Please fix this!

so many memories made on that mat. dont take that away from the younger generation just because of some legal paperwork nonsense
