Responding to Santa Letters has been a timeless tradition in North Pole Alaska going back to 1954. Letters addressed to Santa Claus, North Pole end up in North Pole Alaska where they are opened by elves and replied to. There is nothing in this world like reading a child's letter to Santa and knowing you're brightening their day by responding, it keeps the Christmas spirit alive. Members of the North Pole community ranging from middle-school age children to non-profit groups take time out of their busy lives to provide a service, for free, to children all over the country.
