Woodridge residents in Apex want to keep their base schools as Olive Chapel Elementary and Lufkin Road Middle School instead of the proposed schools of Salem Elementary and Salem Middle. Olive Chapel Elementary is a School of Excellence, is not over enrolled at this time, and is located 1 mile from our neighborhood. We would also like to keep our current feeder from Olive Chapel Elementary to Lufkin Road Middle School in order to stay with our Olive Chapel Elementary community since a large majority of OCE students will stay in the Lufkin Road Middle School feeder plan. Therefore, we propose to keep our current schools as Olive Chapel Elementary and Lufkin Road Middle School.

im still gathering all the feedback from neighbors and it is clear that everyone wants to stay at our current schools. we are working on getting a meeting set up with the board so they actually listen to where we live instead of just looking at maps. thanks for sticking with this while we push for what makes sense for our kids.

im honestly blown away by how many of us are on the same page about keeping our schools. this momentum really shows how much we care about our community and i cant thank you enough for getting behind this.

My kids have been at olive chapel for years and love it. No reason to move them across town when the school is right down the road.
Keep our kids at OCE and Lufkin! Changing the base now is just gonna cause so much stress for families.
Lufkin road is where they belong. Stop messing with our kids education just to fill up new buildings.
OCE is an amazing school. we moved here specifically for this district. dont change it.
RIDICULOUS to pull them from a top rated school just for zoning math. leave our community alone.
