Closing the bridge will lengthen journeys for many and is counter-productive to intended environmental benefits of the bypass

Due to the recent closure of Wolvershill Road there has been a significant increase in traffic using Riverside and I no longer feel safe using this road for leisure purposes. Not only that you will force me to add to my carbon footprint by making my journey to Worle a lot longer both in time and distance - certainly NOT a eco- friendly option for existing Banwell residents and is inconsiderate of those whose lives will be changed by the new access road - disguised as a bypass.

Closing Wolvershill Road at the M5 bridge is a very poorly thought up idea.

Extra volume of traffic now on the A371 and only being able to do 10 miles an hour for a mile on the duel carriageway to Morrisons at peak times, counteracts closing the bridge over the Motorway for polution perposess,we've seen this over the last 4 weeks that Summer Lane has been closed.Who's going to carry their groceries or attach them to a bike to walk back to our homes in Banwell over the Motorway bridge, the elderly, disabled, people with young children,I don't think so..we'll be cut off from Worle unless we're willing to queue in the A371 traffic and go all the way out around.

Wolvershill road is our lifeline for access to Worle and the M5, shutting it will cause gridlock in the small side roads around the village

For many reasons i do not agree with Wolvershill road being closed. The pressure it puts on other roads in the area, which hasn't been taken into account. No mention of how this will impact on Puxton Lane.

I live in Banwell and think that the more routes to the duel carriage way the better.

Absolutely ridiculous to close off Wolvershill Road. It means more traffic on the A371 (which cannot handle the traffic at the moment). It makes no sense for people who want to go from Banwell, New Houses to the shops in Worle (i.e. Sainburys, Asda, Home Bargains, Lidl, etc).
