Bonkers that this is even being considered, increasing fuel consumption by forcing longer route to M5

Riverside road is very narrow and dangerous, it most definitely cannot cope with the extra traffic that would be forced that way. Needed route to keep open for all users

Utter madness

The transport planners in our area come up with some idiotic ideas. You can't cut off local homes and businesses. Does the bridge need repairs that the council can't afford? If it does they should stop wasting money on buying shopping centres and fix important facilities. Wolvershill is an essential route

Maybe the planners should try proposed routes to understand how this makes no sense.

This is a vital link for the community, during the recent closure of the road there was an incident on the M5 and traffic was diverted through the village causing hours of delays and disruption

This would cut Banwell off completely from Worle and supermarkets ! Access to the motorway.The congestion would be awful again especially if M5 is at a standstill ! We must have access please.
