I honestly cannot believe I am typing this but the ban got reduced and the projects are moving forward again. It feels like the world finally took a breath and realized that one mistake should not define a whole career path or erase all that work. I really appreciate everyone …
Getting so near to the hundred mark is wild even if it feels like we should be flying way past that already considering how much people claim to support him. If everyone here just grabbed one extra person who agrees that ten years is way too long to sit on the bench we would crush this milestone before tonight.

Talent should be supported. Personal issues can be resolved, stopping a persons academic aspirations and achievements is not pro active. A person should be allowed to maintain contact with their carreer whilst seeking emotional support from other professionals. X

No es posible que haya doble moral. El defendió la dignidad de su esposa, quien fue ridículisada por su condición capilar públicamente conocida. Por favor no suspendan el proyecto que will smith iba a protagonizar

Will Smith is appropriately apologetic. A ten year ban seems like too long of a time to administer a reckon. Will Smith should still maintain contact in the profession he excelled in. Please let a rdconsiderstion be made. God bless. X

Many people are acting as though Will Smith committed murder instead of a momentary lapse in judgement. Whatever happened to forgiveness? The academy and others who want him to be severely punished, should remember the old saying, "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones."

I think that he was defending his wife against a bully. That the academy allows cruel comments against women and health problems indicates that they are still a male misogynistic organization. Chris Rocks comments clearly hurt. This is just punishment for the victims.

When they go through every member and ban all the ones that have made a public mistake, like Chris Rock who ridiculed the Smith family, without apology, then ok! Will Smith has been an upstanding actor for over 30 years.
