I plan to ride Victory for life, but that's going to be hard to do if the brand is shut down.

I have an Octane and was planning to buy a Cross Country to go with it. I also am in the middle of bringing out another line of aftermarket Bags designed for the Octane and to be expanded to other. You have basically sold me a wonderful bike and then pulled the rug out from under me all in a few months time. I cannot help but wonder who has made this poor decision when your effort is more hampered by your failure to market the bike than by the quality of the bike! Is you commitment to the Indian going to have the same demise at some time? I feel as though I have been wed, screwed and kicked out all in one big motion. I would like to see the kind of commitment to Victory that you gave to reviving Indian.

Love my 2011 cross country.. was thinking I might trade it in a couple years from now for the new water cooled bigger displacement Victory bike rumored.. Great bike my Victory.. if Indian would produce a nice looking bike I might consider a trade in the future but right now I'm feeling too disappointed in Polaris and the Indian is twice as ugly as Harley..

Love my 2013 XCT. Best big bike I have owned in terms of reliability, performance, and desirable look. Indians just aren't doing it for me. Would rather go back to Harley when this bike is ready for replacement. Better dealer network, and more accessories / customization's. This decision will backfire on the suites and end up costing blue collar jobs because of it. Very short sited thinking.

The choice to drop Victory is understandable. Having two brands competing with HD (and partly with each other) is a pain. However, unless enormous amounts of money for development and marketing are pumped into Indian (bringing models to market which will appeal to the current Victory target group, which is near impossible because of the Indian image), chances are that the decision to drop Victory backfires.
There is no doubt, that the Polaris management supported their decision with lots of (market) analysis. Unfortunately, such analysis are always based (partly) on assumptions. And what if these are wrong?
Fact is, that the huge group of potential Victory buyers now have three options. Buy Indian, buy Harley-Davidson or buy Japanese/European.
Indian is hardly and option. The Scout is just too small a bike to appeal to the tourer buyers, and even for Victory riders who own models like Hammer, Boardwalk or some of the older models, the Scout doesn't come close to what they are looking for in a bike. The remaining Indian models are too heavy, too expensive and lack the agility of Victory tourers. All that of course, unless Polaris pumps huge amounts of money in model development and marketing of Indian.
Second option, H-D. Good image, beautiful bikes, a wide range of models and options. But oh Lord, that quality. If H-D produced bikes only half as good as Victory, most (potential) Victory buyers would probably run towards the brand. But H-D doesn't.
That leaves products from Japan or Europe. For most US buyers, not an option. They will have to either choose Indian or choose H-D, or not buy a motorcycle at all.
For the rest of the world, the phrase "it must be US made" doesn't really count. And chances are, that a number of the Japanese and European brands will benefit from Polaris' decision.
Now that may not be too much of a concern to Polaris at the moment. But some of these markets, such as China and India, have only just started to look into the world of b

I'm into my fourth bike, of which Victory was two of said bikes. I choice Victory because of its looks, reliability, it's comfort and it's value. Now you telling me that all this has no bearing on your decision to discontinue the line. Harley is successful because they value their product line and support their customers. You just threw us under the bus and de-valued our commitment to the brand...

Sad day for Victory’s Brothers! 2017 begin with a terrible news! Very disappointed Polaris decision to shut down the production plant. My wife and myself are Italian and we love our Victory Cross Country Tour! Morgana! This is an amazing Motorcycle. We are bikers since we were 14 years old. We owned different kind of bikes of different makers European, Japanese and American. After long rides and natural selection, we decided to buy a Victory, a bike with a more forward thinking design and being a tourer we choose, ofcorse, the Cross Country Tour! Our favorite, of all the bikes we have owned! Our satisfaction is up to the sky! In 14 months, we did more than 24.000 Km. Every Km we did with it make us believing Victory is a superior motorcycle. We owned, BMW RS and RT, we tested several times Harley Davinson, Ultra Limited and Street Glide, but nothing is giving us the same emotions we get when we travel with our CCT! Great Style, balance, secure asset, ergonomic and superior engineered performance, great storage volume and great engine, the Freedom 106, is simply a real beast.
POLARIS management! I don’t know the correct reason of this insane decision but please be aware you are really giving to all of us a big pain! Don't kill such good Brand! You are killing something worth keeping alive! Please reconsider your decision. This is not just a Brand but is for most of us a lifestyles matter!
Polaris Executives you have token a terrible decision! Just be sure as result of this decision myself and most of Victory owners will never be purchasing an Indian nor any other item would be ever been produced by your enterprise. Polaris's executive learn that customer loyalty to the brand is the most important thing you should care of. For sure If the brand was not performing as you expected, its only because you didn't market it in the correct way. From my side, I never seen a commercial on the Victory bike or any other advertisement which would promote it. Is disgracef

From a vison owner
You have made a mistake with this
The value of my bike just dropped by two grand
Because no one wants it no even a victory dealer
I feel like I need a kiss from you
Cause you screwed us
Most of the owners work for a living
This is a hobby or a life style we dont need to buy your product we choose to
You should respect that and you dont
So sorry you selfish basterds think that the people who made you are going to support you with indian
