Now, more than ever young individuals need to learn teamwork, discipline & hard work are traits that can help them become successful way beyond their playing days!

My 3 oldest boys started playing tackle for WKYA rec league 8 years ago. We were so excited to now have our youngest start this summer. Our children have made life long friends and so have we. To take this away is detrimental.

Playing football was some of the best times of my childhood and it teaches kids life lessons.

These activities are life's lessons and the coaches from WKYA teach it as such, not merely football

Youth football gave me guidance when I had none. Showed me team work and being apart of something bigger then ME. I was not a STAR athlete I felt a place I belonged. SO many kids need that today. I have become a coach because of this. Don't take it away. Please don't take it away. Find away. Our youth deserve that.

My son learned manyi life skills on the tackle football field. It was also a positive and safe avenue for for getting rid of pent up energy, anxiety and aggression, not taken out on people but in the discipline and regiment provided by his coaches.

My kids have always played rec football and it has helped shape them into the young men they are today. I have one son who is graduating this year and received a scholarship to play college football. That would not have been possible without the skills he learned from rec ball. Keep the kids on the field and off the streets.

My son played for 2 years and prepared him for Highschool football. This program also broke him out of his shell on his first day in practice. Seeing all the kids playing on the field is as exciting to me as it is them. Don’t let these kids down that love the game of tackle football and aim to go pro.

Rec league football is great way for kids to develop new skills, make new friends, become physically fit, keeps them busy and out of trouble, and the game of football has never be safer.
