This is one of the most absurd and irresponsible plans I've heared. Find a place away from civilization.

The Costal Commision members responsible for issueing such a permit, should be brought up on criminal charges and tried in a court of law for allowing potential extreme pollution of a populated region, both land and sea.

I say we bury this nuclear waste in the backyards of the idiots who came up with this idea as well as the Coastal Commission who approves this!!

This is absolutely ridiculous! Spend the extra money to store it in the desert!

Really? Bury nuclear waste at the water table and water edge with millions of people in affected the area?? Why would anyone take a gamble it the containers will hold that, with so much at stake?!!!!

Send that stuff to the deserts.

It is critical to secure this waste in proven, secure storage casks and move it as possible to secure, long term storage before this southern California area of 20+ million people, and its environment, wildlife, ocean and one of the world's largest economies become a nuclear wasteland.
