When we visited Auburn with our daughter we were told that AU was not planning to increase their enrollment but wanted to maintain its current size. So why the need to change what had worked in the past for housing.

I have wonderful friends who live there and who have helped me through a lot, they are amazing people and deserve to stay.

My son lives in the Quad and wishes to stay there. It is much more budget friendly for us.

A plan that affects such a large amount of people must be presented much sooner than this. Housing in Auburn is far too scarce to expect thousands of students to find a place to stay for the next year.

It is discriminatory.

I was an RA on campus for two years and personally believe that the upperclassmen are good for the dorm environment. Freshman only listen to us a little bit and actually get most of their life advice from the upperclassmen living there.

Upperclassmen are students too... More invested students at that. How can you shut your door to them after how many semesters of paying tuition?

This is ridiculous! Auburn can't do this

I totally get making housing more accessible for freshmen... HOWEVER why in this way? Why wait til now to tell us? Why make is SD? Why not have a building or 2 on the hill so that lower income students can continue to live off campus? This decision is forcing everyone to move AND buy cars if they don't already own cars... which will cause another nightmare because Auburn doesn't have space for parking and now every upperclassman is going to have to have a car...
