Homogenised milk should be criminalised. Nutrients in raw milk are too valuable to kill and should be made available to the general public.

We as individuals should have the freedom of choice as to what we eat and drink, and farms selling raw unpasteurised products should be allowed and even encouraged as long as proper hygiene and safety standards are adhered to as per sensible regulations.

I think the public have the right to choose if they wish to buy raw milk in preference to pasturised.

Typical government interference yet again. They are trying to control too much of our daily lives and restrict our basic freedoms.

Everything today is pasteurised the government will not let us have anything natural. They allow dangerous amount of salt and suger in almost everything. They allow most of the nutrients to be removed from table salt and make it a lethal addition to our food. Let's not mention water.

This debate is not just about drinking raw milk. Let's not forget all the traditional foods you can make with raw milk by leaving it to stand, ferment and separate into curds and whey, not least clabber, a highly probiotic drink.

Doesn't it make sense to research for ourselves and make our own decisions instead of letting the government decide what we can or can't eat? Take control of your own health!

Read Tim Spector's book, the Diet Myth and you will become a convert to raw milk, yogurt and cheese. Real food, not processed.

I wholeheartedly advocate the drinking of raw milk AS LONG AS the animal is grass or silage fed and any other foodstuffs given to the cow is NOT, in any way at all, HEATED. And of course, that the grass is not sprayed and the farm is organically managed. ALAN HUNTER
