raw milk is nutritious and delicious and cured my son's inflamed knees when the doctors had run out of ideas. Why ban something as valuable as this?

I recently read an article about the benefits of raw milk and the harm that pasteurised milk does to the body.In my view, the FSA is promoting ill-health. If the FSA wasn't biased, it would ban pasteurised milk!

To whom it may concern, As outlined in this petition and supported by recent findings from the Journal of Food Protection unpasteurised milk is a low risk food. It has distinct characteristics (separate from its unpasteurised namesake) that are important for health and digestion. Pasteurising turns milk from a food into an industrial ingredient. Given the difference between the two one should be free to choose either. If you must search for an unsafe food to ban please start by looking statistically at what food is making the most people ill. It will be a long time before you get around to looking at raw milk. Regards, Caitlin Hamlett

I can't buy raw milk anywhere. I used to drink it as a child in Germany and I would like to start drinking it again.

I welcome the opportunity to make known how much I believe in the benefits of raw milk - milk as it has always traditionally been drunk. It must be encouraged and it's health benefits publicised.

I have drunk unpasteurised milk while pregnant and raised my two healthy children on it. It has a better flavour and is healthier.

Consumers want the choice whether to buy raw milk or pasturised.
