I believe raw diary products should be more accessible. In UK we should be thinking of the importance of sustainability. Meaning we should stop mass producing dairy and instead buy quality raw produce in smaller qualities. We should also try & educate people about how to make fermented foods which would mean little waste & also bring health benefits.
I also think its crazy that we as Country allow Mc Donalds on every High Street which is the worst food. But not raw milk which is natural and what our ancestor's lived on...

The unavailability of raw milk is a national scandal. If I could buy it where I live (Cambs.) I would. Anybody know where it is available in Cambs?

Informed, measured risk taking is a fundamental part of life in all aspects. I would never choose to smoke but I would definitely choose the health benefits of raw milk.

I have consumed unpasteurised milk on many occasions both in the UK and overseas with no ill effect. The upside is a more superior and creamier product, the downside is a poorer shelflife.

The more I read about unpasteurised milk, the more I'm convinced that it's the way to go, from a health point of view.

Please continue to allow the most natural, healthy form of milk, RAW. I've been drinking it for years & had no health problems until I returned to the UK & couldn't find a seller in my area! In my opinion we all have the right to decide what milk we prefer to drink. When milk is pasteurised/homogenised it loses all it's goodness! Many thanks, Kate

I have been buying 'real milk' for myself and family of four for over 3 years now, it has helped with a number of issues I and my family had when drinking pasteurised milk. I have also done a great deal of research on food and nutrition (due to my own health issues), and feel that I am far more knowledgeable on this issue now than the majority of doctors and so called nutritionists. That aside however, as I think many people are aware, it is not about health and the ability to choose what you consume for yourself and your family, but it is about profit for the corporations et al which are pumping funds into Government who then set legislation as their reward. Most governments now operate like corporations, and are populated by individuals from the general public who do not have some ‘given’ right to dictate to the rest of us what we can and cannot eat. In my opinion it is time that the various ‘trustees/public servants’ working for us were sacked as they quite plainly do not have anyone’s best interest at heart except their own. People are becoming increasingly ill over periods of years due to the inferior and nutrition-less and in some cases ‘toxic’ food supply. As an added comment, I would also say that when the milk has not been pasteurised the cattle also benefit from better farming practice, and in the case of the farming family I buy my milk from the replenishing of the soil they have done from which the cattle graze and now wild life flourish, is commendable.

Pasteurising milk kills the enzymes that help the human body digest milk. This explains why some so called 'dairy intolerant' folk can drink raw milk without experiencing symptoms. Let us, the people, chose what we will and won't consume without the antiquated rules and regulations of the past.

Little wonder the NHS is overwhelmed by so many sick people - if HM Government would ban the use of chemicals in farm production, particularly in the use of slurry (which is the main culprit in ruining the soil and nature itself), and start realizing the overall direct damage being caused by today's poisonous farming methods. It is not even natural, and the natural environment is disappearing because of it. Let's have organic - let's have unpasteurised milk from cows and grass that are not polluted with chemicals.
