Trita Parsi doesn't represent Iranian people. He lobbies for the brutal Iranian regime and spreads the regime’s propaganda in the West. How could one invite him to discuss the future of the relationship between the US and Iran? Who/What is Iran? Is Iran the Islamic Republic regime? Or the people of Iran?
Do you not hear our voices loud and clear? This would be tantamount to inviting the leader of the German American Bund in 1939 to give a speech on how to improve the US relationship with Nazi Germany: "Roosevelt, Germany and the World Invasion - Can there be Goodwill between US-Germany?".
It is natural to assume there is a vetting/research process when a speaker gets invited as an expert in the field. It is sad to say that CMES has failed the Iranina people in this instance.

Islamic Iranian Government occupied Iran 43 years ago and removed all human right to Iranian. They have continuously executed people who fought for human right. They are terrorist and a brunch of ISIs. They must be treated like west treated Ghedafi, Dadam Hosein, Bin laden and Soleimani who was head of Sepah in Iran. Please stop supporting Iranian Government for sake of oil and gas and other resources in Iran. We want to see action and no more talk like what you all did to Sadam Hosein Ghadafi and Soleimani we know all history of Iran now and we know you can do it.

Harvard University. I was shocked to hear the news of the speech, the speaker and the lobby of the Islamic regime of Iran. The permission to enter Trita Parsi, who is responsible for whitewashing the crimes of the mullahs, will definitely bring shame and embarrassment to her inviters.
